An experimental investigation of yield surfaces anisotropies

This contribution is dedicated to a rigorous experimental procedure for evaluation of yield surfaces of common metallic materials. This yield surface tracing procedure employs thin-walled tubular specimens to identify individual yield points of the material under arbitrary combinations of axial load and torque. A yield point is identified on the basis of a prescribed threshold for the effective plastic strain that is being continuously and fully automatically evaluated throughout the test. The experimental results generated with this tracing method are promising, leading to shapes of the yield surfaces conform with the von Mises criterion. The proposed methodology can effectively capture the YS shape.

The symposium is focused on experimental methods and numerical simulation in engineering sciences. The proceedings capture the trends in development of experimental methods in mechanics of structures and materials (regardless to the material and structure type, covering fields from civil and mechanical engineering to biomechanics) as well as deployment of particular solution for measurement and automation systems for evaluation of experimental data.

Porovnání deformační a přírustkové teorie plasticity používané pro problémy experimetnální mechaniky

Pro vyhodnocování experimentálních dat je často používaná deformační teorie plasticity. Hlavním důvodem pro toto použití je její snadná implementace do experimentálně numerického software. Předpokládá se, že rozdíly dané použitím deformační a přírůstkové teorie jsou zanedbatelné pokud izotropní materiál zatěžujeme monotónně. V práci je ukázáno, že tyto předpoklady ztrácejí platnost, pokud pracujeme s tvárným materiálem, ačkoliv je vnější zatížení přísně monotónní a proporcionální.

Tento článek se zabývá experimentálními metodami v experimentální mechanice, zvláště v experimentální analýze napětí. velká pozornost je věnována optickým metodám - klasickým a moderním optickým metodám a jejích budoucnosti v mechanice.Je to klasická interferometrie založená na optické interferenci a superpozici, stereometrie, fotoplasticita, moiré, holografie speklová fotografie atd.
